Meet Robert McMahon, Republican for Ohio House District 42
Robert McMahon — Toledo small-business owner, church musician, and economist — on why government should manage the people's money like a household budget.
Robert McMahon has spent his whole life in Toledo's inner city — as a small-business owner, a church musician, an economist, and a fixture of the community from the Ancient Order of Hibernians to the Knights of Columbus. Now he's running for Ohio House District 42 (Toledo, Oregon, and Jerusalem Township). In his VoteR podcast interview he lays out a simple philosophy: government should manage the people's money the way a family manages its household — measure every program, publish the results, and let taxpayers keep what government doesn't truly need.
