    About

David Karmol brings firsthand legislative experience to public service, having served in the Ohio House of Representatives during a pivotal period for the state. In April 1979, Karmol was appointed to the Ohio House to complete the unexpired term of his mother, Irma Karmol, following her tragic death in a traffic accident. Stepping into office during a difficult time, he assumed the responsibilities of representing his district and serving Ohioans in the General Assembly. In November 1980, voters elected Karmol to a full term in the Ohio House, affirming their confidence in his leadership and judgment. He served through the 1981–1982 legislative session, participating in the lawmaking process and representing his constituents during a period of redistricting and political transition. Following redistricting, Karmol sought to continue his public service by running for the Ohio Senate in 1982, narrowly missing election. His time in the Ohio House reflects a commitment to public service rooted in experience, accountability, and respect for the legislative process.
