Mark Your Calendars: Fifth Annual Ottawa County Republican Party Chili Cook Off We wanted to let you know about a family-friendly Chili Cook Off the Ottawa County Republican Party is planning for Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 4-7 pm at The Crow’s Nest, in Marblehead (2170 N Buck Rd). We will be occupying The Crow’s Nest’s spacious event center. Our Ottawa County Republican elected officials will be offering chili entries for you to taste and judge. We currently have 14 elected officials (State, Judicial, Countywide and Local) participating: State Senator Theresa Gavarone, 2nd Senate District State Representative Josh Williams, 44th Ohio House District Ottawa County Sheriff Steve Levorchick Ottawa County Commissioner Mark Coppeler Ottawa County Commissioner Don Douglas Ottawa County Auditor Jen Widmer Ottawa County Recorder Nate Daniels Ottawa County Clerk of Courts Chris Enoch Judge John Klaehn ( Ottawa County Municipal Court) Judge Fritz Hany (Ottawa County Probate and Juvenile Court) Judge Michael Goulding ( Lucas County Common Pleas Court) Beth Deck (State Central Committeewoman, 2nd District) Tim Brentlinger (State Central Committeeman, 2nd District) There is a $10 suggested donation for adults and $5 suggested donation for children 10 and under. Beer, alcoholic beverages, pop, and coffee (and additional delicious food) will be available for purchase. While you are tasting the chili entries, you will again be able to enjoy the music of Hayden James. Attendees may also vote for their favorite chili!
